Returns & Refunds Policy

Change of mind

Please choose carefully before purchasing.

We do not offer refunds or returns for change of mind, incorrect choice, accidental purchase, or if a product is not what you expected, unless required by law.

This applies to physical products, digital products, downloads, templates, spreadsheets, online courses and other resources.

Damaged or faulty physical items

If your physical item arrives damaged or faulty, please email jackie@thesimplebudget.com.au within 14 days of receiving your order.

Please include:

Your order number
A description of the issue
Clear photos of the damaged or faulty item and packaging

We will review the issue and arrange a replacement, repair, refund or other suitable remedy where required.

Digital products and online courses

Digital downloads, templates, spreadsheets and online courses are non-refundable once purchased, accessed or downloaded, unless required by law.

If you have trouble accessing a file, download or course, please:

Check your spam, junk or promotions folder
Make sure you are using the correct email address
Contact us for support

We are always happy to help with access issues.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

If a product or service has a major problem, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy as required by law.

Consumer guarantee rights cannot be excluded by business policies.

Shipping & Delivery

Where we ship

We ship physical products Australia-wide.

International shipping may be available for selected countries, depending on the product, destination and checkout options.

International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes or import charges applied by their country.

Processing times

Orders are usually packed and sent within 2–3 business days.

During busy periods, market events, public holidays or unexpected delays, processing times may be slightly longer.

Delivery timeframes

Estimated delivery timeframes are:

Australia: usually 3–15 business days, depending on location and carrier
International: varies by country, carrier and customs processing

Shipping costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight, product type and delivery destination.

Tracking

Where tracking is available, you will receive tracking details by email once your order has been sent.

Incorrect address

Please check your shipping address carefully before placing your order.

Orders sent to an incorrect customer-provided address may not be eligible for replacement or refund.

Damaged, missing or delayed parcels

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 14 days with photos.

If your order is delayed or appears missing, please contact us and we will help where we can. However, delivery delays caused by postal services, couriers, customs or incorrect address details may be outside our control.

Digital Product Access

Digital products and online courses are usually delivered by email, download link, online platform or customer account access.

Please ensure:

You use a valid email address
You check spam, junk and promotions folders
Your internet connection is stable
You save your download or access details where needed

Response times

We aim to acknowledge complaints within 3 business days.

Most issues are resolved within 10 business days, depending on the nature of the complaint and whether we need more information.

If your complaint relates to an NDIS provider, library, school, employment provider, council or other organisation, we may need to work with them as part of the resolution process.

How complaints may be resolved

Depending on the issue, solutions may include:

Helping you access a digital resource
Correcting an error
Replacing a faulty or damaged item
Providing a refund where required under Australian Consumer Law
Providing further information or support

We do not provide refunds for change of mind, incorrect choice or digital products once accessed or downloaded, unless required by law.

Record keeping

We may securely keep records of complaints to help improve our services, products and customer experience.
